Yep, I finally got the W9 moved home. Well, to my buddy's place, but I can drive it home from there. I knew the fuel tank was rusty and it ran long enough to load the trailer. She wouldn't run to back off the trailer, though. Luckily I brought along a 1/2 gallon small engine fuel tank and rigged it up to feed the carb.
I've already pulled the tank to clean it out and reseal it. Man, that is a big fuel tank. I'm used to the H/M tank, but the 9's tank dwarfs them both.
She's a hard shifter, but I'm not planning on any speed-shifting. Also, the 12V conversion was done with an alternator. The starter was replaced and a solenoid used instead of the pull rod. On the upside, I'm convinced the muffler is original: IH part#, and pretty much sounds like a straight pipe.
I'll be getting started on cleaning the tank tomorrow.
Here's a few more pics. Check out the seat. Not original, but comfortable.
