The auto shop I worked in often ran into broken off or rusted off plugs. The boss used that same exact proceedure with a small brazing tip. then we would douse the red hot plug with cold water and it would turn out easily with a vice grip or an easy out or anything you could get a hold of it with. We then blew the cylinder out with air and replaced the plugs. We had a Buick grand national come in and seven of the eight plugs twisted off ..they all came out with that proceedure
