Hi Jason, as others have said check parking brake. If it has a T/A, a couple checks, go up and down hill in LO T/A make sure it doesn't free wheel going down hill, next on a down hill slope with TA in HI and transmission in 3rd LO shut engine off with clutch released, release brakes and see if engine will hold tractor. If tractor rolls forward without engine turning then HI side of T/A is weak.
Re loader, models 1550, 1850 and 2250 will fit 674. If loader has double acting cylinders, check hydraulics by lifting front end of tractor off the ground with down pressure on loader. Should lift front end easily.
If it is D-239 Diesel engine it should last a long time if proper Diesel grade engine oil and changed regularly. Pull out crankcase dip stick, check for over full and smell oil for Diesel smell. Checking for front lip seal on Bosch injection pump leaking Diesel into crankcase. Seal is only $8.00 but have to remove injection pump to replace. The seals wear out now because of low sulphur Diesel fuel not supplying sufficient lubrication. So if you buy this tractor either add some Diesel fuel conditioner or a couple table spoons of engine oil every time you fill the tractors fuel tank.
