Hi Al, had same problem on 454, so fabricated extensions out of tubing. IRC, we used 1/2 inch tubing, pulled the knob off the hydraulic levers, shaped the tubing to fit over the existing lever, formed the tubing to curve to the rear, drilled a small hole thru lever and tubing and bolted in place. Can't remember how we attached knob to top of tubing but you will find a solution.
