At the speeds these things typically run, I wouldn't think you'd need to re-balance anything. Maybe if you had aluminum pistons as original equipment, and then went to cast iron, there would be some cause for concern. When replacing cast iron with aluminum, I'd think the strain on the rods would be a LOT less, and any extra weight on the crank wouldn't be enough to shake things. Maybe some of you pullers out there could shed some light on how many rpms these things have to turn before balance is a critical factor?
