GordoSD covered fuel and oil symptoms nicely for black and dark gray (black/blue) exhaust.
If the smoke is light gray rather than dark gray, there may be a little coolant getting into the exhaust. Coolant in the oil could also make it milky if it mixes and doesn’t separate. If the tractor hasn’t been run much since it rained, I wouldn’t expect any rain water in the engine oil to be mixed well enough yet to give a milky appearance.
You may want to take just a whiff of the exhaust to check for any telltale antifreeze smell (provided the coolant contains antifreeze, of course). If the cooling system has only water in it, I wouldn’t buy the tractor.
