The manifold for my Regular is in really fine shape, good and solid with only surface rust, but at some point the mud daubers had gotten to it. When I first got it it and the carb were full of nests. I ran some brass wire through it trying to work the mud out, and I think I did a pretty good job. BUT... I wanna clean up the outside before painting, I had considered sandblasting since theres alot of metal there to blast, but now I'm wondering about hot tanking it, which I would hope would also clean out the inside. Has anyone tried this? Your opinions please.
