Redrider Has the starting info well done. RUnning is pretty straight forward. Do not overload the engine lugging it down to 1/2 RPM at full power serves no purpose. Keep the oil clean, and air filter serviced. When finished operating, let it sit ideling for about two minutes on the diesel mode. This lets the head temperature drop to a uniform coolant temp. (diesel operation is far cooler at idle than switching to the start/gas side and idleing on that mode) Once the two minutes are passed, just move the diesel fuel control lever (throttle) to stop. Then shut off the ignition, and close both fuel valves. Some will say it is necessary to run it on the start cycle to cool it I never have. and I have several thousand hours operating TD18/20 and MD Diesel over gas engines. JimN
