Trying to remeber old M speed- governor was 1600/1650 full trottle and PTO would do the 525/560 range for nominal 540. Variations exist- 1450 governor setting on earliest, Super M with 1750/1800 governor had matching PTO gears- if your M was every rebuilt the later governor weights and springs may have been installed. Industrial 2000 rpm governor parts also exist and are sometimes installed- Don't think they had PTO gear ratio the same as standard but many Industrials didn't have PTO- had extra hydraulic pump instead. If you have a tach on M, check the 1450 setting first under light load, otherwise get set throttle 2 notches back from full and see how it works. RN
