Last winter my machine shop got a kit for my early 282 through Red Power. It was about $900 for whole thing, rings, pistons, sleeves, pins, bushings, gaskets, valeves, guides, and springs. Again it was an early block so had the machine shop install and size the sleeves and put the guides in for another $250-300.
I'm with tractor vet if ou end up working on it you just as well replace everything to get the best performance out of it. 282s are a pretty picky engine compared to most.
