Depends on soil, plow type, tires, weight, etc. I've got an old SM (no TA) that spent years pulling a 4-14" Moline trailing plow. Handled it ANYWHERE on the farm in 2nd, lots of places in 3rd. With a 3-16" mounted plow on a 3pt hitch, it acts like there isn't much back there to pull! Unless you have very good tires and lots of weight, you'll probably run out of traction before you run out of engine.
