The lift all system on the H and M is a one way system. That is hydraulic lift up, gravity down. If that is what you need, you can just vent one side of the cylinder and things will work fine. If you need two way pressure, then you will have to purchase and install a two way valve. The two way valve will have 4 ports, inlet return to reservoir and the two ports to the cylinder. You pipe the outlet from the lift all to the inlet to the two way valve and the return to the lift all fill port or the drain on the bottom. If you use the fill port, install a tee on top of the fill port and put the breather cap on top of that and pipe the return fluid into the side. Some say it's better to pipe the return to the drain as you are less likely to have overflows, etc. After the system is installed, you lock the lift all control in the lift position and then use the newly installed two way valve for your operation. With the lift all locked in lift, the fluid flows through the control valve and back to the reservoir until you actuate the two way valve at which time pressure is applied to the cylinder. This system makes no difference to the lift all pump, as the pump runs all the time anyway and continuously cirulates fluid when the control is in the release position. Also, note that the lift all only puts out about 800 psi, and modern systems are usually 2000 psi, so your implement may need a new larger cylinder to compensate for the lower pressure. Depends on how much force is needed.
