S means your tractor has a TA, and there is "provision" for a 540 rpm independent PTO. So if your tractor has a PTO it is live, meaning that it works with the clutch pushed in. TA equipped tractors could also be had with transmission driven PTO's that were not live. The code for that is R. Your mag is somewhat unusual for that model, although they were options through the 450 series. A list of options (by letter suffix to the serial number) is in Guy Fay's data book, they do not include ignition systems, etc, though.
