IH imported about 47600 of these little tractors from its manufacturing plant in the UK. They apparently have withstood the test of time so I would say that you should think about restoring it. My late uncle had one and loved it. 1964 was the last year they were in production so you may have one of the last ones built. The serial numbers end on 48173. It was also one of the first IHC tractors in the US with a diferential lock and 3pt. hitch. Apparently the IHC subsideraries overseas had no problem adapting to the 3 pt.hitch before their US made counterparts. I've been looking for one for a long time so if you know of any for sale please let me know (I live in MN so the closer the better). Hope this helps you with a little info.
