Can't remember how they go on, but for a few hundred you can get an adaptor kit, which mimics a 3pt through the 2pt; think among other places YT has them for sale.
Quite a workhorse IMHO, but one quirck: the diesel is cold blooded; not horrible if you're aware of that fact. If it's in the condition you're noting, I'd say it's quite a bargain!
