Well i don't know about that as diesel engine oil is a high detergent oil . And just go ahead and use it in a newer I H gasser and it will do a good job of cleaning the exhaust valves. Low ash was first made for LP engines . Have you ever read the tech sheets that I H sent down to solve problems ?? i have and have you ever sat down and talked to OLD I H mechanics and picked there brain here again i have and any chance i get to talk with older guys about problems and learn i will. I have twisted wrenches way past 45 years and still learning .
