thanks for come backs. the crank has been turned on one journal and ws done by a very old shop with lots of experience. don't think they would have missed it being crooked. clutch has been replace several times. i bought the tractor new. it has been turned upside down and was still running when its driver got to it. he had to reach up in under it and shut the tractor off. he was going to fast and ran off the road. its been a while since i had the injectors checked, but they have been set once. its hard to crank, but i don't know how to time it. seems like i did years ago, you had to remove the plate off the side of the pump and align two marks in there while it was running. is that some where close. yes i did line up the harmonic balancer marks with the marks on the crank. it was bad and i took it off and double checked it. best i can remember it is a bugger to see how it goes back together.
