AAA did a poll once asking drivers what the SMV sign meant. The scary part is that less then 10% of drivers knew what it meant. 90% of drivers thought it was to show the end of a driveway(an illegal use of the sign in Michigan). I've had my own fair share of close calls one that stands out is when I was driving my 886 with a 10ft. snow blade on the front home from my in-laws and even though I had my flashers on and my wife who was following me in her car had hers on the idiot still passed me 50ft. from an intersection and on a blind curve. He barely missed an oncoming county plow truck with his little grand prix(little compared to us others). With snow on the road I know I couldn't have stopped in time and probably would have killed him. It made it hard to sleep that night even though I wouldn't have been at fault I still would have taken another person's life.
