Finishing my restoration on F-14 and am getting ready to put the oil pan back on. I bought some original gaskets from Tom Underwood. The 2 side gaskets fit perfectly but the 2 end gaskets that fit on the curved part of the oil pan seem to be about a 1/4 inch to long. Am I supposed to trim these and then put some silicone where they meet the 2 side gaskets. Any suggestions appreciated. I will post pictures as soon as I am done in a couple of weeks.
