If it is not too bad of a leak, brazing is ok for pinholes. But pinholes mean that it is thin. Was the corrosion from the inside (moisture) or outside (battery leak). Be careful brazing. I was TIG welding a hole in a small tube one time and let the puddle get a little too hot. SPLAT I filled the line up with silicon bronze filler. I would pay a little more and have a new one built, you have a good pattern, for now.
