Sweet Polly, if I can run a pile driver with my Cub I see no reason why you can't run a round bailer however, I do have a new Chevy Corvette 6-speed transmission in my Cub. It bolted right up after borrowing several parts from my wife's vacuum cleaner. Let me know if you are interested, I can e-mail you a diagram. Also, if your PTO is turning the wrong way, I think you had better check the magneto timing. By the way, I've got all the water.
