That's the best part of the 2+2's they are virtually unstickable. Put duals front and back and you will float over everything. I like them so much that I search auctions for them in good shape and buy when I can. They will pull so well that people pulled TOO much with them when they were new. You have to remember that they are only 180 hp tractors, not 300hp. The 2+2's had some reliability issues in the 80's because they were overworked. They look big and they pull big, but they aren't big. I cut hay with mine, bale, pull the swather, deep tillage, etc. etc.
The 14's combines are early rotary's. They were reliable enough, but bugs were worked out of them all along until the 90's. When a rotary goes sideways, it is 10's of thousands. When a conventional goes sideways it is thousands or hundreds. I like rotaries too, but comparing dollars per acre combined, a big old conventional gleaner should provide a better return. Not to mention that a conventional will handle tough grain a bit better than the 14 series. IH parts are easy to find...I have found Gleaner parts easy too. MF's and NH's no way...good luck. Just my opinion though.
