Can you pull stumps? Sure -- with thought and care and lots of hard manual work but the Cub just isn't something that you would back up to a stump, chain up and tear the stump out of the ground - a least any stump of any size.

Baling. Not familiar with this Vermeer(?) but my guess is no. Again, size. A bucket for the Cub is the same. I think a wheel barrow would have the same capacity -- no kidding. And remember, if you overload a bucket and you have hills, etc., there is the very real, VERY serious possibility that you would roll it onto yourself. The Cub is small but more than big enough to kill you.

PTO. You're correct. It does spin in the opposite direction of standard PTOs. The Cub had special equipment just for that reason and any non-Cub, PTO-driven equipment simply won't work.

Automatic transmission. With enough money, anything can be done. It would be a gigantic undertaking and I can't imagine the outcome even looking like a tractor but perhaps that doesn't matter to you. It would be like a Ford model A 'doodlebug' (depression-era homemade tractor) in fact that might be exactly what you want.
