DEo not run it that way! There is a seal in the hydraulic pump which can go out causing a massive "filling" of the oil pan. This is not engine oil, and must be repaired. The seal will be easy to get at, but could be either a lip type seal, or an O ring. If the shaft has a groove in it (any) it will need to be repaired with a "Speedy Sleeve" This is a thin sheet metal tube that is placed over the worn shaft. (NAPA and others have them) If it is a O ring style, the housing may need to be opened up a tiny bit to allow the sleeve to fit inside the location of the O ring. It is a machine shop type of repair if that is needed. If the bushings in the pump are worn and allow any play, the pump is probably toast. JimN
