I believe all Super Cs had regulators. If it has a three position light switch, it will have a regulator. ODB Off Dim Bright. If it has a 4 position light switch (it should not) it will be LHDB Low charge high charge Dim Bright. That is used on all Farmalls with a cutout. (except those that originally had no light system from the factory as an optional delete) they had a three terminal cutout with a low charge resistor for the generator for starting purposes. Because you state it is converted, it might have an alternator in which case it probably has a built in regulator in the case of the alternator. If it is a generator system, it could have a cutout, but unlikely. If it has a little box connected to the generator, and that little box has two terminals only and it has the 4 position light switch, it is cutout. JimN

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
