Dave, they dont ask cuz it dont matter. The points act more as a CURRENT switching device and its how many amps (around 3 to 4) they need to constantly switch on and off that matters. Also, the DC voltage withstand rating (which is what matters) is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy higher then 6 or 12 volts anyway so the insulation and distances between parts of different voltages (part of what determines how many volts it can withstand before arcing over) being soooooooo muchhhhhh higher then 6 or 12 volts anyway dont matter if youre using it on a 6 or 12 volt system...
