The issue is as stated not the clutch. The clutch is the direct drive component (working) releasing the clutch causes the planetary gearbox to try to reverse rotate in the tractor chassis. This rotation is stopped by a "one way" device at the opposite end of the TA. It acts like a ratchet allowing turning forward (direct) but holding when the TA drum tries to spin backward. It will not get better, and it can be fixed reasonably inexpensively. I recommend Kevin's parts, ask him. JimN
