My puller needed a little coaxing. The dampner is off ! I kept the 3 original bolts threaded into the holes a few turns, then had to replace them with 3 longer bolts as the dampner moved forward until it finally pulled clear off the crank. Thanks for your help. BTW, this dampner is nothing like what you would see on a car, the center is solid with 3 bolts holding it to the end of the crankshaft. The crank is so big it has (3) 3/8 holes drilled and tapped into the end of it, 120 degrees apart. The dampner is held tight to the crank with these 3 bolts, but these bolts are the only thing you can push against to remove the dampner. hope my words are painting a decent picture. John.
