Got an M in the shop right now.Rain water down a bad manifold stuck a valve and then #3 piston.I built 3 little fires in that hole in one afternoon.Put it in gear,give'er some rocking back and forth,piston moved down 1/4 inch,sprayed lube in there,did it some more until it got down far enough to hone the cylinder,and popped it out the top side.The cylinder really looked bad on the top 4 inches of the sleeve.The night before I built the fires in it I poured that hole full of Coca Cola(having heard it ate rust)and it did a lot,but not completely.Anyhow,Now you cant tell it was even stuck(not even any pits either)

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
