Easiest way to get the enigne out once all the sheetmetal is remove all major components off the block, head, manifolds, etc. Than support the tractor under the bellhousing/torque tube. Then remove the front end, bolster and frame rails. Next pull the block out and finish tearing it down for rebuild. Im not certain with the 706, but odds are there are long bolts going into the block from the back side of the bellhousing. Just to give you heads up.
Here are some pictures from my 560 rebuild. Same basic front half design as far as frame rails and what not. Engine pics are around page 15 or so.
