Could the center cam bearing spun, or not installed correctly? Might explain no oil to the topside. It's possible its had new sleeves put in and they reused the old pistons?? Id be looking for that oil problem!! Cam would need to be pulled out and passages checked to see if the oil holes are inline with the passages,, thats if a bearing spun is suspected.
Id put it on an engine stand, or be real careful when new cam bearings are installed while its still in the chassis. Chad
