In some lines of manufactury in which more than one plant turns out the same product one location will gain a better reputation than another, eg: some years ago automobiles manufactured in Calif. were regarded as being inferior to the same model built in Michigan or some other place. Even after the problem is corrected it takes a long time for the reputation to be restored.
