I'm always mystified by people who are opposed to science.
Down a ways someone said that the last ten years or so were cooler than average. That would be interesting if it were true, but the guys at NOAA don't see it that way. Have a look at http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2008/20080115_warmest.html
They even have a graph with the past 100 years of data. You can draw a line that shows temperatures were decreasing from the 30s to the 70s, but the overall trend is warmer.
What is the down side of believing in global warming and being wrong ? We have an energy independent country.
On the other hand, what happens if we don't do anything and global warming is real ?
Will all the doubters line up and march into the sea ? Will they just say to their grandkids ' back when we could have done something, we just sat on our hands' ?
