I have to agree with Jim. It takes energy to make energy and when you factor in mechanical friction and the energy loss through the wires it isn't going to happen. You then factor in the energy loss of DC power it is even less feasible. Thomas Edison tried to build his electrical system using DC power. The amount of energy lost is 1 mile was prohibitive. The inverter to convert DC to AC is going to introduce additional power loses. Westinghouse introduced the AC electrical grid which is more efficienct for long distance transmission of electrical power. Sorry but this is not a reality.
