Should have mentioned to check for voltage at the wire going into the points. If no voltage there, could be a bad/ disconnected wire any where in the ignition circuit. Check by running a jumper wire from the hot terminal of the battery to the points hot terminal. If it runs with the jumper in place, track down where you are losing voltage in the ign. circuit.
