Someone must be looking out this me today.
At about 4pm all the snow is melted and water is running hard across my yard.
The barn has anywhere from 4"-12" standing water from flood. I went to pull the lever to see how bad it was then I noticed my air compressor was underwater so I pulled it to higher ground. When I got there I noticed the extension chord that I use for the tractors was under water too and the other end was plugged in. If I had pulled that electrical lever while standing in that 6" of water I might not be typing anymore posts.
Next time I'm standing in water I'm going to survey the area before thinking of turning on electricity.
