The diesel we had when I was young was a great little tractor for medium duty work such as haying, planting, and feeding cows. Didn't like it much for heavier field work since we used larger tractors for that. Would seem to run all day mowing, cultivating or planting. Wouldn't start worth a darn if it was less than 35 degrees. I wonder now if we needed to replace the glow plugs. I think they are great tractors for what we used it for. Couldn't tell you about the gas, but I bet it would start better in cold weather.
