All is well with your computer. The resolution that you set your screen to in Windows affects your view some. I am using 1280 x 800 on my laptop with a 15.4" widescreen. The higher your computer resolution, the smaller the text, but the more you can see at one time. Hence larger monitors and dual monitors allow more viewing area.
Now as for posting, that is determined by the poster. If I post a picture like this, it should fall in line vertically.
Blah, Blah, Blah,...
(picture address)
Blah, Blah, Blah,...
Now if someone post a pic like this, it will be outside of the screen's resolution and force you to scroll.
Also I have noticed if you are using (Photobucket) you have 4 choices for how to address the link depending on what you are using it for. Classic and Modern Views use a different link address to work. I forget which to use so I always preview first. If it doesn't pop up i paste a different link.
Finally, I like to take pictures for internet useage at VGA quality (low resolution). They are smaller in file size so they load faster and are easier to upload (less time on slower connections). If you post a 10 MP picture, it will take up 4 screens in uncompressed view. Hence scroll up/down and side to side.
