Hello All.
Balmy weather here today, so a good day to get out and tinker. However, spent it putting new brakes on the fathers pickup, so that took a good chunk of the daylight.
I drained the cylinders that had water in them on the one BN, and tried to clean the gunk out of them. Lots of sediment, dirt, etc. in the bottom of the cylinders, looks like its been sitting a while. Filled them up with ATF and will let them sit for a while.
I decided to see what the other one (supposedly in better shape) was going to do. I pulled the drain plug out, and must have gotten at least three quarts of water out of it :( All told I drained about two gallons out of the crankcase, with the last of it looking like some very funky oil. Not what I was hoping to find in there today. That one has been soaking a few days, and no movement at all on it. I figure its going to have to sit for quite some time to get it un-stuck.
So I guess the next warm day Ill have to tear into that one too and see what lies in wait for me, although now the cylinders are all full of ATF.
But Im still having fun, still learning plenty, lots more to go.

Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a
