Ac CNKS indicates set the freeplay at a bit over an inch, then it should release well. Free play is done with hand pressure as the pedal is pushed down it will begin to get resistance from the pressure plate and get much harder. This is the beginning of the release motion. THat distance is the freeplay measured from the pedal contact point to the platform edge where that contact point normally rests. Remember it has no syncros, and straight cut gears. If when you have it in gear stopped, and (holding the clutch down) put it in neutral, it should not start to spin again making grinding. If it does, and the freeplay is right, the pilot bearing might be getting sticky, (lube it) or the disk might be warped a bit, or the splines might be holding the disk against the flywheel some. Good luck, let us know the outcome. JimN
