Off the top .. the front rails are slightly longer (1-1/2) inch or something like that.
The governor is different although its still an IH. The one arm (to the spring) carriage is different size from anything I have had. This one has 2 weights yet but doesn't match with any of the 300's either. I did find a work around repair for this in a previous thread.
I found a few of the one dot bolts with holes through them. I'm just not sure if this is from previous work and random placement is all.... knowing my father.
It was rebuilt (engine) once during its time and remember how snappy it was when we got it back. If it couldn't pull it.. it would literally bury itself in a hole trying. One you truly had to hang onto her enough so not to tear things up or especially hurt myself !
I'm curious too now. I am going record the head/block/torque tube/arse-end cast numbers just to assure myself what I have here. We did buy it from the original owner in '66 and who knows right ?
The front bolster has that added cultivator notch built in and all that matched up to SH.
The front grill is a mess and is very difficult to find anymore. I am going to try my metal work (wanna be) talents to this. I have researched this a lot and know what I need to do here.
I'm a couple years out yet on this one because it has been broken down completely, in stages, with no bolt left unturned. She'll be running as well she did once before when I am done here.
