When building one of these you are not really destroying two tractors. You basically need everything off of a 300 minus the front bolster, sheetmetal, and hydraulic stack. Then from an H/SH you need a front bolster, sheetmetal, mounting brackets, and steering tree. The only real SH part you need is the hyd reservoir. All of the parts needed can come from a tractor in a bone yard. I would not take two good tractors to build a SHTA. It would not make sense. But I would prevent enough parts from going to China for scrap by building one of these tractors.
I am in the midst of getting one pieced together right now. It is not the most popular thing on this board, but it is what I want. In my opinion, this would have been the best H IH ever produced. Actually ahead of the MTA due to the LPTO.
