May want to make sure the problem is with the T/A gears. When the T/A clutch is engaged, lever forward the gears looked at in rear compartment under cover don't turn. The whole unit that carries the gears turns. Was the t/a clutch release bearing replaced along with pressure plate? If the part t/a pressure plate is bolted to is turning when trying to move tractor, then some teeth on the gears or shafts, or a shaft is broken for the t/a unit itself to be the cause of tractor not moving with t/a lever forward. If the part the t/a pressure plate bolts to doesn't turn with t/a lever forward I would check clutch and adjustments again. The t/a side of t/a unit is probably not holding but whole unit failure chances of keeping tractor from moving in dirrect drive range is low. It happens sometimes though.
