Thanks for all of the help. I went back to the shop that is cleaning up the pistons for me(friend from church that has an industrial washer). Anyway I had him remeasure and sure enough they are 4 1/8 and the number is the AP77. The piston pin is the "1 inch" pin. So after a few phone calls I have located a set of rings in the great state of Missouri. They will be here next week. Again thanks for all of the help. But the service manual only tells you so much and not being familiar with the 4 cylinder creatures makes things more interesting. It is also a little more difficult to track down parts, since I do not exactly have IH salvage and parts suppliers on speed dial. I will post some pics when I get it up and running. Hopefully It will find a nice home when I am done. I just knew when I went to look at it, it was too good to go to the junk yard. The owners son originally told me it was just a super m that had been in their shed for 20 plus years, but when we walked in the door and I saw the whoop de do lever I knew i had to try to get it going again.
