I don't see the problem with Paypal. You tie it in with your local bank account or one dedicated to eBay activity. When Paypal tells you that the item has been paid for, go to your Paypal account and immediately transfer the money.
It is very convenient for buyers. With a few clicks, the sale can be completed. That sure beats writing and mailing a check or chasing after a money order.
To each his own. I am amazed at the prejudice on these forums against eBay. When buying, I always get a good deal with little effort. When selling, I only offer rare items that will attact interest. I have had nearly 100 transactions with no problems.
