Sounds very familar. My Dad had a Super C that he bought new and I drove to the farm from the Dealership at age 12. The old tractor was in terrible shape including cracks in the steering housing and torque tube. From a financial perspective it was just a parts tractor at best. Well sentimental old me ended up spending something north of $8000 on it and now have a very nice $3000 tractor. But then I wouldn't take $20,000 for it. My advice is don't you dare let it go to the scrape yard--you will never be sorry you spent the time and money to fix it up and if you have children they will teasure it when your gone. Some things are just more important than money.Good luck.
