I think the problem is that the TA ramp and roller one way clutch is no good. The full repair of a TA is to split the tractor in two places. At the bell housing, and at the front of the trans. THe One way clutch I refer to is on the trans end of the TA. It is one of the issues needing attention when doing a repair. If it slips in LOW (TA back) that is the most likely. IF itslips in direct also, the TA internal gears may be toast. Kevin Meier participates on this forum, and sells TA materialsand rebuilt TAs. THe Blue Ribbon Manual for the TA repair is a good thing.
