If you plan to keep it then go for it! I love my F-12 and still use it. A few things, don't worry if you see a crack in the side of the block, most of them have it and since there is no pressure in the readiator, block sealants will work. Brake shoes are getting hard to find because everyone forces stuck ones and they break since they are cast iron shoes. The brake shoes are the same as on F-20s and possibly F-30s. If it still has the kero manifold on it be careful with it. Most of them are getting real thin by now and good kero manifolds are hard to find. You can identify them since the exhaust outlet goes straight up from the center of the manifold. Gas manifolds outlets are off set from center. Mine has the kero type and on my starting tank since I don't run kero in it, I fill the small tank full with kero because it wont deteriorate like gas and is slow to evaporate out. That keeps the tank from rusting out on the inside. Also be careful with the fuel pump, they are getting a bit hard to find, but if you break it somehow a new housing can be found from 29-mid thirtys chevy 6 cylinders, you may have to change the pump arms. New diaphrams from the old chevys are being made new and work for F-12s. If you have any more problems there are several on here who can help out! Enjoy it if you get it!

In my younger days, mom, dad and my brother made frequent visits to dad's youngest brother Pete, who took over the home farm from grandpa MIke. It was the typical set-up, milk cows, pigs & chickens. In the winter, we'd play
