Yes you can add a finish mower on a cub. I favor the IH 59 inch over the woods. I find that the woods mowers tend to turn a little harder than the IH, but that is only my personal findings. You go with what you want, but I will tell you that I used to mow over 25 acres of yard (for different people, about 8 yards) and had no problems with a cub-loboy and an IH 59 inch. Run you about a 6-8 inch dia pulley and you should have enough power. If you are really lagging for power, then go to a 4 inch pulley. I had 2 different pulleys, one for heavy stuff and one for yards. Had to change the belt when changing pulleys, but it didn't take long to change and made a BIG difference in power. When you decrease pulley size though, you also decrease blade tip speed and sacrafice quality and smoothness of cut. I usually used the small pulley to knock down high stuff and then go over it again with the big pulley and make it look like a golf course. Also keep in mind that the sharper you keep your mower blades, the better that 59 inch will cut and the less power it will take to run it. Good luck with your cub and have fun with it. They are fabulous little tractors and it will amaze you with what it can do. Kippster
