your farmall A is a very early one probabley a 39 or 40. if there is no place fot a starter you cant put one on it unless you change the bellhouseing. i wouldnt do that, its better to keep it as original as possible.also there probabley isnt a starter gear on the flywheel.the cable that you mentioned is probabley a governer override to get more rpms. this isnt original.
